Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Award
The CASSAR Chairman for the Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Award is Gary Jensen.
The Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Award is for scouters of the Sons of the American Revolution. It is an honor due to members of the SAR who act as role models and provide dedicated service to the young men in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Award acknowledges the service of the recipient to Scouting and is awarded by the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution. The BSA has agreed to recognize the Robert E. Burt Boy Scout Volunteer Award by including it among similar awards that are recognized by its Community Organization Award.

Valley Forge Teacher Recognition Program
Fifth grade teachers, and/or American History teachers teaching grades eight through twelve within the State of California, private or public school systems, are eligible to apply for this award program. The award consists of one week paid scholarship ($1,400) and funding for travel to the program (up to $500)
This year, The American Revolution North program will start in Boston in the evening of Wednesday, June 26, 2013 and will end with a drop-off at the Newark Airport on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at approximately 3:30pm. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 is the travel day. Paticipants need to be at the hotel by 8:00pm that evening. Teachers need to apply for the scholarship through their local SAR Chapter, or they may contact the Program Chairman for assistance. Spirit of America Award
The Spirit of America Award involves working with officials of a middle school or junior high school district to select and award two young people (one boy, one girl) from the district's graduating class to receive the SAR Bronze Good Citizenship Medal and its accompanying certificate at the graduation ceremonies of each selected student's school
