And now a word from our new President General

Compatriots,

Please join me in celebrating the upcoming decade of commemorating the 250th Anniversary of our Nation’s founding. This December marks the beginning of these events with the 250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 2023. This, and subsequent events, will bring to life the sacrifices of our Patriot Ancestors.

Our America SAR 250 Committee had been working hard to highlight events and activities for not only our Compatriots, but also the public at large. Please review the many options on our 250 website to find activities which spark your interest which you and your chapter can implement. These resources are not restricted to SAR members. If you are reading this as an educator or youth program leader, feel free to implement these projects in your organization.

The SAR’s mission is to “honor our Revolutionary War patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving our communities, and educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of our Country.” We fulfill this mission by actively participating in these many celebrations and activities scheduled over the next few years. Please find a program which interests you and jump in!

John L. Dodd, President General, 2023-2024
