The Chairman for the California Society Founding Forward Teacher Program is Larry Brasher.
This award is open to all 4th or 5th Grade Elementary School Teachers, 8th Grade and High School American History Teachers, who teach the American Revolution. The selected teachers (up to two each year) will receive a trip to one of the Summer Graduate Teacher Workshops related to the American Revolution presented by the Founding Forward, at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The Award, valued up to $2,750, includes tuition, room and board*, and transportation expenses (up to $750.00).
Program Deadline
Applications of California SAR sponsorship for the Founding Forward Teacher Program will OPEN December 1st and CLOSE January 15th.

Next year’s seminars will be announced around October/November. It is critical that interested teachers apply early, as the American Revolution traveling programs always fill up early!
